What it is

The town’s events office calls Working Fingers a “beloved annual show” that brings together makers “from near and far.” Every booth sells handmade work. The town’s list includes:

  • jewelry
  • home decor
  • clothing
  • baked goods
  • paintings
  • lotions

It is a one-day show, indoors, so the weather does not matter. Arrive early for the best choice of one-off pieces.

Where it is and parking

The Charles Mack Citizen Center is the town’s event hall at 215 N. Main St., downtown. Downtown has street parking and public lots off Church and Broad streets.

The town tows vehicles left between 2 and 6 a.m. in the Citizen Center back lot, the Church Street lot between Moore and Center avenues and the Liberty Park lot, its parking notice says. That does not affect a daytime visit to the show.

Downtown’s shops and restaurants along Main and Broad streets are a short walk away, so the show pairs well with lunch downtown. Our downtown Mooresville guide lists them.

Selling at the show

The town takes vendor applications through the Working Fingers page and its vendor opportunities page. Only handmade work fits the show. Check the page for the year’s deadline and booth details; we do not publish fees.

What to know

  • Free, all day. No ticket is needed.
  • Indoors. There is no rain date to watch for.
  • Lost something? The town’s events pages send lost items to the Charles Mack Citizen Center, 704-662-3334.

The rest of the holiday season

Working Fingers opens a busy stretch downtown. The 82nd Mooresville Christmas Parade is Tuesday, Nov. 24; Plaid Friday and Small Business Saturday follow on Nov. 27 and 28; and the town’s A Classic Christmas festival is Friday, Dec. 11. Our holiday shopping guide has the full list.
