Mexican food in Mooresville clusters on River Highway (N.C. 150) between I-77 and Plaza Drive, where Rio 150, Moe’s, Chipotle and Chili’s are a short drive apart. Downtown has Tequilas on South Broad Street and a second Rio 150 at Mill One, and two more sit off Plaza Drive and Argus Lane.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Mooresville’s town limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 11, 2026. We added Chili’s, Chipotle, Margaritas, Moe’s and the two Taco Bell stores from their own location pages, which give addresses inside the limits. Salsarita’s on Bluefield Road is in OpenStreetMap, but its site blocked our check, so it is left off until we can confirm it. The list is alphabetical. Casa Azteca says it combines traditional Mexican seasoning with modern cooking techniques. Its Mooresville restaurant on Regency Center Drive takes online orders and reservations, and the owners also run a location in Charlotte.

Chili’s is the Tex-Mex grill and bar chain’s River Highway restaurant, with dine-in and online ordering for pickup.

Chipotle is the fast-casual burrito and bowl chain’s River Highway store. It offers in-store pickup and delivery during store hours.

Margaritas Mexican Kitchen & Bar describes its food as neither Tex-Mex nor fully traditional, with cheese dip, tacos and fajitas on the menu and a full bar. It has sister restaurants in Denver and Mountain Island. The group’s home page says outdoor seating is available but does not say at which location.

Moe’s Southwest Grill serves burritos, quesadillas and tacos built from more than 20 fresh ingredients, with chips and salsa free with every meal, its page says. It offers catering, curbside pickup and online ordering.

Rio 150 has two Mooresville restaurants, on River Highway and at Mill One downtown, plus locations in Concord, Charlotte and Huntersville. On the first Tuesday of each month it runs a dine-in taco special.

Taco Bell has two Mooresville stores, on East Plaza Drive and Norman Station Boulevard. Both list late drive-thru hours; dining rooms close earlier.

Tequilas Mexican Grill and Taqueria is on South Broad Street downtown. Its owner, Francisco, thanks repeat customers since 2001 on its site. A second Tequilas is in Gastonia. Its site does not post hours, so call ahead.
